Full Bio: For more than 25 years Dr. Jim Anderson has been negotiating as a part of his job. During this time he discovered that most of us don’t know how to negotiate — we’ve never been taught how. Dr. Anderson had the privilege to work with some of the top sales negotiators in the world and he used these experiences to discover just what it takes to become a master negotiator. The good news is that negotiating is not some mysterious “black art” that only salespeople can learn. Instead, Dr. Anderson discovered that it’s actually a specialized form of communication that any of us can pick up if someone would just take the time to show us how.

Dr. Anderson believes that every organization has a desperate need for negotiation training. In today’s flattened organizations everyone negotiates everyday. The problem is that we’ve never been taught how to negotiate. This means that businesses are being saddled with agreements that cost too much, last too long, and deliver too little. Through presenting, training, and consulting Dr. Anderson has resolved to change the way that business negotiations are conducted.

Dr. Anderson is the author of a popular negotiating blog (www.TheAccidentalNegotiator.com) and newsletter with over 1,000 subscribers. He’s authored over 100 articles on business negotiating  and speaks to audiences around the country.
