Dr. Jim Anderson Speaks At the 28th Annual ISM Supply Chain Conference In New York City
On Thursday March 31st, 2011, Dr. Jim Anderson spoke as a part of the 28th annual New York Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Conference. This year the conference’s theme was “Managing in Times of Uncertainty”. The conference was attended by over 100 professional supply chain, purchasing, and logistics managers from the New York, New Jersey area.
Dr. Anderson’s presentation was called “Banish Boring: How To Make Your Next Supply Chain Presentation Interesting & Effective“.
The purpose of this presentation was to realize that as supply chain professionals the audience often get asked to make presentations. However, this is something that none of us never been taught how to do. During his presentation Dr. Anderson showed the audience how transform their next presentation from something that folks dread coming to into something where real learning occurs. There’s no magic involved, and he pointed out that you don’t have to be a graphic artist to pull this off. Dr. Anderson shared a simple process that has been created to allow the audience’s next presentation to go from forgettable to unforgettable.
