Dr. Jim Anderson has agreed to address the Colorado-Wyoming Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE). The Section is composed of more than 300 members in the field of transportation and traffic engineering.

Dr. Anderson will be presenting a two-hour workshop on how to create and deliver effective technical presentations. This will be followed by a 30-minute post lunch presentation on how to transform existing technical presentations into presentations that work.

The workshop presentation that Dr. Anderson will be delivering is entitled “A 10-Step Program For Becoming A Powerful & Dynamic Technical Speaker”. During this presentation he’ll cover the questions that a speaker needs to answer before even starting to design a technical presentation. Next, Dr. Anderson will cover slide design techniques such as how to choose colors, fonts, and the positioning of images. The different ways to present numbers will be covered with the advantages and disadvantages of each method being explored. Finally, tips for delivering the actual presentation of the information will be discussed.

This workshop on giving technical presentations will be given on Friday, December 3rd, 2010, from 9:30am – 11:30am at The Oxford Hotel in Denver, Colorado.  For more information and to make reservations, contact Chris Sheffer via the ITE’s Colorado-Wyoming Section web site at: http://www.cowyite.org/
